The Pearl 62 has been a great success for the British company ever since her global launch at the boot Düsseldorf Boat Show in January 2020. The Pearl 62 heralds a new chapter in the history of Pearl Yachts, using a generous beam of 5.3 metres to comfortably fit an exceptional four cabins, including a full beam master suite with private entrance, without ever feeling cramped or compromised.
Available with a range of engine options, the Pearl 62 is powered by Volvo Penta’s pod-drive IPS system – dishing up great fuel economy, fingertip joystick control as standard and many other useful features, such as optional Dynamic Position Holding – a godsend only usually seen on much larger vessels. With the IPS1200 option fitted, she will reach 31 knots and cruise happily in the mid-twenties, all whilst remaining eerily quiet at the lower helm. Her engine-room is a mechanic’s dream – with excellent access to all serviceable components, well-labelled fittings, a clinically clean finish and quality components from Torrid, Glendinning, HeadHunter and Kohler to name but a few.
Her interior is styled by Kelly Hoppen and is offered with a number of design finishes that really sets her apart from her competitors. The interior space is both light and contemporary, yet functional and practical – with thought paid especially to storage on board – both on the main saloon deck area and in her cabins. The fully-fitted galley is set aft, with immediate access to the aft cockpit deck, opposite a cosy dinette. Moving forward, there is a welcoming saloon – just ideal for lounging on the incredibly comfortable sofas and taking in the views afforded through the superstructure glazing.
There is a real sense of occasion heading forward to the three forward cabins, with a central companionway lit by the double-height windscreens and a forward lobby. The feeling of space is sensational, with class-leading height in each cabin and en-suite, wide doorframes and reassuringly solid fittings.
Moving aft, the discrete entrance stair off the dinette winds down to the master-stroke of design – her owner’s suite. Completely separated and wholly private, this is an oasis of calm, with each side of the cabin pierced by a window for fantastic views across the water. This showpieces true designed elegance; with a dressing table, two full height wardrobes, an optional laundry and a vast en-suite heads/shower. The central double berth would not look out of space in a smart boutique hotel, and with lighting options to suit all moods, you can set the scene to your mood.
On deck, the outdoor appeal of the Pearl 62 really comes to the fore. With three dining tables spread between the foredeck, aft cockpit and flybridge, she is a true party-yacht, with plenty of sociable entertainment space and seating in all zones. Her flybridge dwarfs most 65’ yachts – fitted as standard with two large sofa areas and a fully-equipped bar and BBQ area. With an optional hardtop for extra protection and a large aft area to specify as you wish, this deck has expansive views, and a commanding upper helm position to make light work of docking.
With fun in mind, Pearl Yachts offer a jet-ski garage option (with a custom launching cradle) and a hydraulic hi/lo bathing platform for ease of tender launch and recovery. If you plan to use crew, then the garage can be fitted out as a crew cabin, with its own facilities and access though a transom door. However you plan to cruise, the award-winning Pearl 62 is a true chameleon,
The Pearl 62 – as individual as you.
