Broker’s Comments

FLOMALI is a Baltic 45 Custom built yacht. She was designed by Reichel / Pugh for both short-handed fast cruising and racing. The owners wanted to be able to race or cruise the yacht both solo/short-handed or with full crew.

For short-handed sailing and racing, all sails controls are led aft to the electric primaries and main winch and there is a water ballast system approx. 500 litres each side for additional stability.

For crewed racing, the electric winches can be disengaged, and a Harken pedestal installed which connects to the primaries and main winch.

For cruising, the race boom is easily replaced with a carbon Leisurefurl boom, which coupled with the roller furling jib, makes this yacht easy to handle.

The current owners have improved comfort on board fitting out the forward area as an “owner cabin”. The yacht has three sleeping areas (aft on each side is a double quarter berth, there are two settee berths in the saloon, and the double berth in the forward cabin), so can sleep 6 – 8 persons.

There are two complete sets of floorboards (carbon non-skid for racing, cherry covered honeycomb for cruising) and cushions (Sunbrella covered for racing and microfiber covered for cruising).

Docking and transiting shallow harbours is facilitated by a lifting keel and retractable bow thruster.

The vessel is currently on land for winter period (January 2021).

Owner’s Comments

FLOMALI is a fast, stunning looking, easy to handle yacht that we enjoyed as a couple for our day and weekend trips along the Costa Brava. She is equipped with the best materials and a nice set of 3DI sails amongst many others, even at 11 years of age, she is ahead of her time compared to most sailing yachts delivering today. We mostly have enjoyed her cruising and the main advantage is that with hardly any wind you still make good distance and you don’t need a crew. It’s now time for us to go for a bigger yacht that will allow us to spend longer spells aboard.
