Broker’s Comments

A naval architect graduate of the renowned Genoa University in 1999, Emanuele Rossi learned his craft working under Gilles Vaton on some of the world’s most prestigious performance yachts of that era. In 2006, Rossi created ERYD in answer to the growing Mediterranean market for stylish, innovative and most important of all, fast and fun daysailors. The EYRD 30 was groundbreaking in terms of ergonomics, her elegance and ease to sail both shorthanded and singlehanded. From the beginnings in 2006, many have been built to exacting standards.

The ERYD has not been designed to be the fastest, nor most competitive, or the most luxurious, as to be at the extremes of these categories inevitably means compromise in other opposing areas. She is designed to give the best overall experience with a nod to classic design, in order for the yacht to remain contemporary and always stylish, irrespective of the latest fashion.

Her construction uses the most advanced techniques available at the time, with vacuum infusion of unidirectional glass and Airex core material, giving a light strong and robust hull. To ensure reliability, high strength and a nod to performance, the mast, keel and rudder are constructed in carbon.

The USP of the ERYD must be her deck layout. Although only 30ft, she has a very well proportioned and clever deck layout. Tiller steering gives best control, with sails controls lying easily to hand for short or single-handed sailing. The mainsail traveller is mounted forwards in the cockpit, to allow a large social area at the transom for swimming and sunbathing.

ORIENTE is a fine example of the ERYD 30. She has been very well maintained in her life and will come with a fresh topside paint, new antifoul and refurbished teak deck for the next owner. The Lombardini engine has been hardly used and well maintained throughout her life. In short, the ERYD 30 gives a beautiful sailing experience, timeless design and a modest price point when compared to her peers.

Owner’s Comments

She is a fantastic daysailor, easy to use for a single person; very fast even with light winds.

A lot of fun and sporty with strong winds.

Easy going for 2/3 days cruising with 2/3 people.

Nice design, very stylish and functional; a design that will last for decades.

I decided to sell for family reasons – new child arrived and we changed our habits.
