PHAN is a very well specified and upgraded GP42. A new keel and rudder has added righting moment, lowered drag and made the yacht more manageable when hard pressed. All designed and built well in carbon.

The GP42 class have an excellent track history of being transformed for IRC racing, as they are fast, manageable and do not need an army to sail. They are well optimised as the class were designed alongside the TP52 at that time. Since the class racing stopped, the yachts have developed a very competitive new life under handicap racing. In IRC and ORC, you will regularly see a GP42 on the podium – the combination of downwind planing performance and low displacement gives an all-round very competitive package.

GP42 PHAN started life as ZURICH, a modest hull form made her a very all round package against her peers and now with the additional righting moment has the opportunity to be competitive both in VMG sailing and reaching.

In 2018, the yacht underwent a refit and optimisation at Longitude Cero, with a new and extended keel fin, new carbon rudder, adjusting the deck layout and fitting a new forehatch to keep the interior dry, whilst being able to perform string drops. PHAN has also recently been updated and with removable inventory for offshore racing.

She has the bunks, galley, heads and other equipment, and also for inshore racing has a new fore hatch design and equipment for a string drop system.

She is now on the market at a very reasonable price; ready for the season.
