THE ITALIAN JOB IV was conceived to fulfill the owner’s two fundamental requirements; to be the perfect two-handed cruising yacht yet be able to win the Solaris Cup. The latter was successfully achieved in 2018 but the yachts main use has been for cruising around Mallorca where she is based.
THE ITALIAN JOB IV is one of the highest spec’d Solaris 50’s built to date, with Southern Spars carbon fibre mast and electric in-boom furling, Harken re-wind electric winches at both helms stations to control the mainsail and jib sheets, a customized galley which incorporates two fridges a dishwasher and microwave oven and the 2.6m keel which provides the optimum performance and access to anchorages.
The Solaris 50 is the most successful selling model in the Solaris line up which currently comprises nine models from 40’ to 80’ with fifty hulls now ordered.
The Solaris 50 meets the requirements of easy short-handed sailing yet with the waterline length and accommodation to be a true blue-water cruiser, capable of carrying long-distance equipment without affecting performance or stability. Not only that, but the proven capability to be a race winner.
