The Windy 31 Zonda has proven to be a real benchmark in sports boat design and was reviewed by Motorboats Monthly as the “best hull we’ve ever tested” and awarded the accolade of 2012 Motorboat of the Year.

The WINDY 31.627 was originally delivered to Denmark and purchased by the current owner in 2015, who has used her for day trips in Mallorca. The yacht has benefited from extensive service and care, and in recent years has been under full guardiennage care from Berthon Spain. In recent years the teak has been re-caulked and extensive winter works including antifouling, hull polishing and full Volvo service work.

This example benefits from the 2 x Volvo D3-220 diesel engines, which offer the reassurance of twin engine redundancy on longer trips, higher top speeds and increased manoeuvrability in the marina.

The 31 Zonda enjoys an RCD CAT B rating (offshore) and she has always been designed for use on the sea unlike cheaper alternatives. This notable ability combines with an impressive cruising range.

Her inventory includes both a bow and stern thruster, electric windlass, Garmin navigation equipment and autopilot, VHF radio and teak decking in both the cockpit and on the bathing platform. She has windscreen de-misters which are useful in colder climates, or when using the boat off-season in the Mediterranean. The boat has also been upgraded with hot water, heating system, automatic trim tabs and lots more.

Her specification includes the new generation canopy system, which can be quickly used to enclose the cockpit and converts the area into a “cockpit saloon”. WINDY 31.627 was specified with the bimini upgrade, which uses separate canvas and reinforced poles for sunshade.
