Windy have always been known for building some of the most respected sports boats and performance cruisers. The Windy 39 Camira is no exception and in our experience, one of the most capable Windy Boats. MBY Magazine commented that “for pure ability it’s up there with the very best 40ft production hulls we’ve ever tested”.

The 39 offers two properly finished cabins and is practical for weekends or extended trips away. The interior was tastefully designed by Design Unlimited in co-operation with Windy Boats. The accommodation is complemented by a large and spacious cockpit, which serves as the main social space. The cockpit can be easily and quickly protected from the sun or enclosed from the elements with the ingenious bimini / canopy system.

MARGITTA was originally delivered by Berthon in 2020 and is one of the last Windy 39 Camira to be supplied. She offers an extremely desirable specification and is one of the only examples to be fitted with the latest generation Volvo D6-440 Diesel engines with the DPI drives. These engines offer a fantastic balance of economy, torque and top speed performance, as well as low noise levels and impressive economy when underway.

The engine data has been integrated into the twin Raymarine glass screen plotters which is backed up on the Volvo engine computer displays, which are positioned next to the throttle controls.

The Windy 39 Camira, MARGITTA is fitted with the Joystick docking system, which allows the boat to be manoeuvred via the Volvo Joystick control. The boat can be moved sideways and turned via the Joystick. This system is much smoother with the DPI drives, when compared to previous examples. This example also benefits from the upgraded bow thruster.

Her large social cockpit offers a generous sofa, large aft sun pad with moveable backrest and well-appointed wet bar with additional fridge, and recently upgraded electric BBQ. The upgraded bimini with aft extension and enclosing camper canopy has hardly been used.

Further enhancements to this boat include the sun pad on the foredeck with adjustable back rest, 4kw generator, air con, hydraulic platform, upgraded sound system, under water lights and more.
