Broker’s Comments

GOOSE is a rare Down East 37 version of the very popular Back Cove 37. With her lobster boat–inspired spoon bow and hull, the Down East 37 features a luxurious walk-around bed below, a spacious head with separate stall shower, and an L-shaped galley.

Up three steps to the helm deck, you’ll find a STIDD captain’s seat to starboard and an L-shaped seat to port. The port seat can face forward for the co-pilot, or—by moving the backrest—it can wrap around the hi/low table for entertaining, or convert into an extra double berth.

Behind the helm seat is a two-seat settee. At the aft end of the helm deck, there is a drawer-type fridge on one side and ample drawers on the other, which could easily be upgraded to a second fridge or icemaker if needed. Both are standard sizes.

The standout feature of the Down East version is the huge cockpit, with wraparound seating on both sides and a transom door to the swim platform. Shade and protection are provided by an electric retractable SureShade bimini.

Below the co-pilot seat is access to a large storage room for seat cushions, water toys, and other gear.

The engine is accessed via a large hatch, offering excellent all-around access for easy servicing.

GOOSE has always been inside stored in the winter, and really well looked after, and has some very expensive addons, such as the FLIR night vision camera, and the Zipwake dynamic control system.

Owner’s Comments

After several sailboats, GOOSE became our first powerboat, which we purchased in 2018 on Long Island. She has been perfect for family day cruises and is a wonderful platform for socializing, swimming, and paddle boarding. The two of us have cruised to New England summer destinations, and she has proven to have excellent seakeeping abilities while remaining quiet on longer trips. We are now looking for a slightly larger boat—one with many of the same great qualities!
