Meet the Teams

Our HQ is situated in the beautiful town of Lymington on the banks of the River Lym. Specialists in bluewater cruising yachts, we always have a selection of listings available to view. We are proud supporters of the World Cruising Club’s ARC, and co-host the WCC’s Bluewater Weekend at our Lymington HQ every summer. For many years Berthon has been involved with Dashew Offshore, marketing their pre-owned fleet of FPBs, Sundeer, Deerfoot and Beowulf yachts. As well as yacht brokerage, we are exclusive agents/dealers for a number of quality new yachts. For new motor yachts we are exclusive agents for Solaris Power in the UK and also represent Iguana Yachts. For sailing yachts we are exclusive agents for Solaris Yachts in the UK, Eire and the Channel Islands, as well as agents for Pegasus Yachts.

In February 2020, we were delighted to bring on board Magnus Kullberg and his team when much respected brokerage house XLNT Yachting became Berthon Scandinavia. Magnus’ offices are situated on the enchanting and remote Island of Orust in Sweden, also home to many great Swedish shipyards such Najad, Sweden Yachts, Hallberg-Rassy and Malö. This strategic location in Henan enables Berthon Scandinavia to offer clients effective service and refit solutions from their base at the old Najadvarvet shipyard. Berthon Scandinavia specialises in the sale of high quality cruising yachts in Sweden, Scandinavia and internationally, and is also the agent for Solaris Yachts in Sweden.

Berthon Spain is located in vibrant Palma de Mallorca, the heart of the Western Mediterranean yachting scene. Managing Director Andrew Fairbrass spent many years as a yacht captain before moving ashore to establish Sentinel Yachting, which offered local yachtsmen high-quality refit and repair services, as well as comprehensive guardiennage packages. In September 2018, Sentinel Yachting joined our ranks to become Berthon Spain. Since then, the company has gone from strength to strength. Simon Turner, formerly with Northrop & Johnson Spain, now heads up Berthon Spain Yacht Sales alongside Andrew Fairbrass and, more recently, Henk Sijbranda. As yacht brokers, they work closely with Berthon HQ in the UK. The fleet of brokerage yachts is expanding, both in the Balearic Islands and on the mainland. The service and guardiennage side of the business has grown so significantly since 2018 that it’s now hard to visit Palma without seeing the Berthon crew in action.

Berthon USA, managed by Jennifer Stewart and Alan Baines, is based in Newport, Rhode Island, and specializes in brokerage sales along the USA's East Coast, from Newport to Florida and the Keys. Jennifer and Alan joined the Berthon Sales Group as Berthon USA in 2010. The team comprises six experienced brokers: Bill Rudkin, Jonathan Banks, and Peter & Jeanie Houghton, alongside Jennifer and Alan. Together, they bring extensive expertise in the sale of sailing yachts, day boats, trawlers, cruisers, and motor yachts. Berthon USA is also renowned for being the go-to brokerage for pre-owned Swans and other popular Swedish yacht brands. Jennifer served as the Swan agent on the East Coast for 12 years, and both she and Alan introduced Najad Yachts to the USA before joining the Berthon team. In addition to their yacht brokerage services, Berthon USA is the exclusive East Coast agent for Moody Yachts, Rustler Yachts (UK), Sealine Yachts, and Solaris Yachts.

Our representative in Italy is as yacht mad as the rest of the Berthon Sales Group team.

Filippo spent his childhood sailing in Tuscany. He started with dinghies, working his way up to IOR and ULDB classes and eventually becoming a sailing instructor at the SCO, Orbetello. Filippo went on to enjoy, excel and win in both the Italian and the European Baltic Cup championships, repeatedly. Following a corporate career in marketing, Filippo returned to his love of the sea and boats, working first for Cantiere del Pardo and then as a maritime yacht broker.
