The Berthon Spain service business headed up by Managing Director Andrew Fairbrass, with its big blue shed and fleet of vans driving around all of Palma bay offer multiple professional services to yachts of all sizes – engineering, maintenance, repairs, guardiennage – as well as yacht storage in the vast warehouse near the airport.

Last year, Berthon Spain´s head office was strategically moved from the workshop and storage facilities to an office in STP shipyard, which truly is a key location, both locally and for the Mediterranean.

Berthon Spain – Yacht Sales

Berthon also has a brokerage office in Palma with an office opposite the Club de Mar marina. Located on the eighth floor of a building facing the sea, it offers unparalleled views of the entire bay of Palma, and of the picturesque Tramuntana mountain range.

Having worked with Berthon on and off since 1981, yacht broker Simon Turner is the longest standing member of the Palma sales office, which he joined in 2020. Freshly arrived from the Netherlands, with many years of experience as a yacht broker, Henk Sijbranda has recently joined the Palma office bringing with him a deep knowledge of the market, together with fluent German. Andrew Fairbrass also forms part of the sales team, and strong communication and cooperation between the service and the sales sides of the company are always a priority.

Using the knowledge from her former career as crew member on superyachts, Nathalie Miquel-Elcano supports them in an administrative capacity, and assists the Berthon marketing team with the photography and videography of our Mediterranean based yachts.

Mediterranean Reach: Berthon’s Yacht Services Beyond Palma

Over the years, Palma has grown in popularity, becoming increasingly busy and pricier. As a result, Barcelona and Valencia have emerged as attractive alternatives for yachts seeking moorings or maintenance. With Mallorca conveniently home to a large international airport offering direct, regular flights to many key Mediterranean ports, the Berthon team has been able to easily extend its services beyond the Balearic Islands.

Once a year at the beginning of May, Palma becomes the rallying point for all Berthon Sales Group offices, as the Palma International Boat Show kicks off the yachting summer season in the Mediterranean. With a team coming from the Lymington office, sometimes also joined by Berthon brokers from the US and Scandinavia, this is always a great time for the Berthon family to come together and do what we do best – sell yachts, and have a good time!
