Broker’s Comments

I was involved with this 77ft Custom Norlin Cutter Sloop in 2012 with the former owners – assisting them in a private transaction. Her former name was SWEDISH CAPRICE.

I am delighted to again be involved with this special, custom built Swedish designed and built yacht. Upon seeing the yacht again in 2023 I was very impressed by the works done and the new systems installed. Her new teak deck, new engines and all other works mean that a buyer can “unplug and play”!

With the triple forestay set up and powered winches she is easily sailed. With twin engines, twin props and a bowthruster she is also easy to manoeuvre. Her cockpit is well protected from the elements and a comfortable area in which to relax or dine.

The interior is of a classic style in dark mahogany and with new green leather upholstery. The aft owner cabin is of a very generous proportion and with lots of light and ventilation. With upper and lower saloons there are good areas for friends, family, or guests to relax. Forward is a double guest cabin, plus two twin upper and lower bed cabins for other guests and a further crew dinette / cabin.

Whilst changing circumstances have decided the owners upon selling, one of them would be open to the idea of maintaining a part ownership and would sell up to a 50% share to a willing buyer. He is also open to the idea of accepting a part exchange of a smaller, lower value sailing yacht.

Owner’s Comments

We (two partners) bought CAPRICE in 2019, with plans to make a world cruise with our families.

In 2020 we made a big refit at the shipyard Varadero Amjomar in San Pedro de Pinatar (near Murcia, Spain). They made most of the works including the refit of teak decks, new hatches, electrical and heating/air conditioning systems, etc. The new engines were sourced in Poland and the installation carried out at Amjomar by the Yanmar agents from Cartagena. I bought new sails and all systems in the boat were checked, serviced, maintained, or replaced as I felt was needed.

Unfortunately, Covid came, and all plans were disrupted – both the works and later plans for sailing. However we have been able to enjoy some sailing in the Balearics, and around the south of Spain as far as Gibraltar.

When we were looking for a yacht, we checked a number, but CAPRICE was found to be a very strongly built yacht and although needing updating, was well maintained by her former Swedish owners. They had previously paid the VAT in Malta and I have the yacht registered in Malta in the private names of myself and my partner.
