The Bavaria 36 Cruiser from 2005 is a very popular model that combines generous space with excellent sailing performance. The yacht is designed for both comfort and performance, making it ideal for holiday cruising as well as longer coastal or archipelago passages. This model is known for its solid construction, practical layout, and bright, airy interior. It has been one of Bavaria Yachts’ most successful models and was produced between 2003 and 2005.
The Bavaria 36 features two spacious cabins, a forward cabin with a traditional V-berth and an aft cabin with a generously sized double berth for guests. This 2-cabin version includes a bright and roomy head with shower, located to starboard at the bottom of the companionway, cleverly positioned to avoid interfering with the saloon layout. On the port side, you will find a well-equipped galley with all essential appliances. The saloon offers impressive space with two sofas and a folding table that provides a comfortable and social area for dining or relaxing. The forward-facing navigation station includes a large chart table and clear space for instruments. The interior is warm and inviting with ample storage throughout the yacht. The bathing platform creates a perfect spot for relaxing by the water on sunny days, while the sprayhood and full cover canopy keep you protected on colder ones. The cockpit and the bathing platform are laid with teak.
Bavaria 36, VIRUS X, is in good condition, with only two owners since new. She has been well cared for, with the current owner storing her indoors every winter. In recent years, she hasn’t been used extensively, but has enjoyed regular summer sailing along the coast. With her spacious interior and family-friendly layout, she’s a reliable and enjoyable cruiser. She is equipped with a furling mast, a bowsprit, and good sails. On colder days, the cockpit canopy and heater come in handy. She is now ready to set sail with her next owner.
After many memorable summers at sea, it is time for us to pass on our beloved Bavaria 36 to new owners. We have owned this yacht since 2018 and have enjoyed countless sailing trips with her.
This is a well-maintained, easy-to-handle cruiser with both furling mainsail and furling genoa with all the lines conveniently leading to the cockpit. She is also easy to sail, achieving good speeds even in moderate winds. The engine has not been needed very often. In recent years we haven’t used the yacht as much as we would have liked, but we’ve still managed a few sailing trips each summer. She has been kept at the Bohus Malmöns Marina where she has also been winter-stored indoors in a heated facility and serviced annually by Joakim. There is also a suitable boat trailer in good condition, available if needed.
We are two older couples who have owned the boat together, but we have now all passed the age of 70, so it’s time for us to head to Spain instead.
