NO CODE is a 2016 HH66, high performance, full carbon catamaran designed by Morelli & Melvin. This luxury catamaran was the first of its class, famous for winning the inaugural Multihull Cup Regatta in Mallorca. She was sailing in a competitive class of more seasoned peers, including Coco de Mer, Slim and Nigel Irens’ custom 78 Allegra. NO CODE pounced on the challenge, finishing in first place overall… Not a bad result!!
After her launch she set out to sea, cruising as far east as Cyprus and was then put on display to an admiring crowd at the Cannes Yachting Festival and subsequently won multiple awards, including the prestigious Overall Boat of the Year by Sailing World Magazine, and Best Boat – (Multihull) by Sail Magazine.
In 2016, after the summer season NO CODE crossed the Atlantic in time to shift from cruising to racing mode for the Caribbean 600, where light winds prevailed for much of the 600-mile course. With gourmet food and plush accommodation, she raced in comfort and finished third behind two rather less commodious MOD70s. She then competed in the St Maarten Heineken Regatta in March, defeating all three 60-footers in class and coming in second overall behind the nimbler, seven-ton, custom-built Bieker 53, FUJIN.
All in all, NO CODE integrates the very latest in race yacht technology and is quite possibly the world’s fastest performance cruising catamaran. This “no-compromise” yacht features full carbon construction, dual helms, C-shaped carbon daggerboards, stunning performance, and an unmatched level of customization.
Upgraded in 2023 and now in turnkey condition, NO CODE offers her next lucky owner the option of being ready to race or cruise in comfort.
I had been looking for a couple of years before I ultimately settled on the HH66 and NO CODE.
HH66 represented a generational step up from the Gunboat 66 in performance, design, space and usability. The versa-helm at the rear is truly a better way to sail, as evidenced by the retrofitting of multiple Gunboat 68s into this configuration.
In our first season (2022), we sailed from the south of France via Corsica, Sardinia and the Greek Ionian Islands, through the Peloponnese, and ultimately spent 4–5 weeks in Turkey. In our last two seasons, we have focused on sailing between Spain and the Adriatic. We now realise there are few better places to sail in the world than the Balearic Islands.
The options she provides an owner are endless. The sheer power under sail, combined with luxury and comfort. The joy of night sailing, surfing downwind at 18–19 knots with the family asleep below. The way she settles in and simply laps it up.
Sailing at 7.5 knots in 7 knots of wind, 10.5 knots in 10–11 knots of wind, and 12 knots in 12–14 knots of wind. The elegance with which her hulls cut through the water is quite mesmerising.
The reminder of her sheer engineering and strength, seeing the carbon through the clear coat on the hulls. Arriving back on board at dock or at anchor, and being called to sail to the next shore.
Last season, I took on the captain’s role and, with one crew member, we felt completely comfortable handling NO CODE in a variety of situations with this setup.
The sharpest knife is the safest knife.
It’s now time to sell as we have completed our mission, which was to spend a few seasons with our young family exploring the most beautiful places in the Mediterranean. Our eldest starts school next year.
Faster than any luxury cat ever made at the size. Stronger and more stable in heavy seas than anything in its class. Richly appointed with more comforts and space than thought possible. The HH66 Super Cat’s the only choice for those who demand the best.
Faster, stronger, smarter, and more lavishly appointed than anything that’s come before. The HH66 Super Cat is the new standard for luxury cruising and performance.
We started by asking what the ultimate sailing machine should be, and we listened carefully to your desires.
The result is a cruising cat, simply put, that will outperform anything of equivalent size and class on the planet. Its generous interior spaces and clever use of ultra-modern materials achieves a level of luxury not found in this genre of catamaran. Every line, every curve, has been carefully considered and meticulously reworked until we achieved the ideal alchemy of beauty, performance and luxury.
