Broker’s Comments

WOELWATER is a highly exclusive Lemsteraak 14.30, designed by Hoek Naval Architects, with the hull built by Eeltje Cuperus. The expertly executed woodwork was carried out by Claassen Jachtbouw, and the technical installations by Cornelis Jongkind, who are all highly reputable companies in their respective fields.

She has been lovingly maintained and upgraded by her current owner. All the woodwork has recently been resprayed (11 times). A new B&G navigation system was installed in 2023, as well as new batteries and other works such as an engine overhaul and much more.

WOELWATER is perfect for competitive sailing, a true racer, but she is also a wonderful family ship for fabulous holidays. Hoek Design has been the leading design office in optimising traditional Dutch leeboard craft; the base of these craft have been built for more than a century. Lemsteraken were formerly used a fishing boats, and many of these vintage crafts have been converted and are today used as family cruising yachts. For 4-5 decades, these crafts and new builds have become more popular as racing yachts.

WOELWATER is a unique Lemsteraak, with an undeniably stylish and very classic interior. A beautiful and particularly light-coloured Sipo Mahogany was used for the interior, and the cabin floors are made of pure quarter-swan oak.

With her three cabins, she can comfortably sleep eight persons. The bow cabin has a double berth to port and two single berths to starboard. In the passage to the saloon on the starboard side are two single berths and a day head, and to port is a luxurious owner’s cabin with en-suite toilet and shower facilities. The cosy saloon features two seating areas and a large table. The galley is U-shaped and offers all the comfort you need for excellent cooking, and on starboard there is a separate navigation corner.

The cockpit is very spacious and practical, fully equipped. The teak on deck and side decks is 16mm thick and beautifully maintained.

In short, WOELWATER is a yacht you can enjoy for many years to come. She is stored inside a boat storage shed, and can be viewed by appointment.

Owner’s Comments

I have owned the Lemsteraak WOELWATER since 2022, and have mainly sailed her in the Netherlands and the German and Dutch Wadden Sea. As a true lover of traditional boats, I consider this to be one of the most beautiful and authentic designs. The hull shape and the sheer line are particularly elegant and well-proportioned.

Throughout my ownership, I carried out regular and major maintenance, such as extensive servicing of the engine and engine room, upgrades to the navigation equipment, and all paintwork and varnish have been carefully maintained.

Sadly, I now have to part from her as I no longer live in the Netherlands and don’t have the opportunity to sail her much anymore.
