Sweden Yachts 40, VIKING CRUSADER is a modern bluewater performance cruiser, offering superb comfort and sailing characteristics. The clever hull design incorporates a new wing keel and rudder profile. Equipped with a self-tacking jib, a large fully battened mainsail, with single line reefing system, and a fixed mounted furling code zero, sail handling is easy and efficient. The deck layout is uncluttered with all control lines led back to the cockpit. There are 2 x electric and 4 x manual Andersen winches and all deck gear is Harken. In the cockpit, there is easy access to the integrated swim platform and there is plenty of space for crew and guests. The well-designed sprayhood offers good protection from rain and wind. There is teak laid in the cockpit and on the side decks.

The layout includes a forward owner cabin with en-suite heads / shower and two aft guest cabins with double berths. Directly to starboard of the entrance is an L-shaped galley with a fridge box and a fridge with door, and the galley top is made of Corian. To port of the entrance is a day heads / shower. The saloon is to port with a C-shaped sofa and the navigation area is to starboard in front of the galley. The interior is made of high-quality varnished mahogany.

VIKING CRUSADER was delivered to her current (first) owners in 2009. She has mainly been sailing Scandinavian waters but also participated in the ARC in 2010, where she was the winner in her class.

VIKING CRUSADER is a very well-kept yacht in good condition.

We have been faithful to the Swedish shipyard Sweden Yachts from which we have had four newly built boats. All the boats have been fantastic. The current boat is from 2009 and is a Sweden Yachts 40. The boat is of the absolute best quality – very well built, fast, sails well, beautiful, and very practical.

We have done long distance sailing with only 2 people across the Atlantic and a lot of sailing in Scandinavia and European waters. It is so easy to sail her, even for 1 person. A pure luxury sailing yacht!
