The Wauquiez 43 Pilot Saloon has been built for Bluewater sailing and ALIZE is no exception, with an impressive list of equipment and very recent upgrades. On deck, you will find a large, safe cockpit, in boom furling, electric genoa furler and self-tacking jib, making her easy to sail shorthanded. Down below she offers a clever and versatile interior layout with a raised seating area in the saloon and panoramic views, inside navigation station and a spectacular owner’s cabin in the stern, plus two further cabins forward.

These yachts have a following amongst the Bluewater fraternity and it is easy to see why. ALIZE has been lovingly cared for during her current ownership and she is now ready for her next sailing adventures.

Owner’s Comments

I purchased ALIZÉ in 2019 (becoming the 4th owner), and she was in need of tender loving care (TLC) and updating. The previous owner had bought the boat in 2017 but hadn’t used her much due to ill health. Similarly, we’ve had limited use due to COVID-19 and other commitments.

She has had a comprehensive refit in my ownership

• Annual professional service of Yanmar 4JH3TE and Fischer panda generator. Comprehensive engine overhaul in 2024.
• Standing rigging (2023).
• Profurl electrified genoa (2023).
• Sanders self-tacking jib (2018) and sails valeted in 2023.
• Boomvang gas spring renewed in 2022.
• Safety gear (2023) – liferaft, EPIRB, danbouy, flares, Vetus gas monitor.
• Nac3 autopilot computer, B&G forward vision and depth transducer (2023).
• Isolation transformer (2022).
• Victron battery charger (2022).
• Hull stripped back of old antifoul and copper coated (2019).
• Replaced aluminium fresh water tank with tektanks plastic (2019).
• Amended bunk cabin to increased storage, 7kg washing machine and microwave install, keeping one pilot berth (2020).
• Reupholstered (2020).
• B&G nav. system (2018) – radar, chart plotter, autopilot etc.
• Navtex upgrade 2018.
