The Zeydon Z60 was launched in 2008 as a collaboration between BMW Designworks, and a new & fresh thinking boatyard in Belgium – Zeydon Yachts.

The concept of mobility design was paramount to the fundamental layout of this yacht. They drew upon BMW Designworks in depth experience in the mobility sectors which allowed a fresh approach to interior and exterior design – with ergonomics playing a large part of how the yacht flows, the intimate knowledge of space and usability that is generated from years of study of many different mobility solutions.

BMW, of course, are most prominent in the automobile sector, but BMW Designworks Ltd are a design company that originally started in California in the 1970s and were bought by BMW in 1995. Their designs are prevalent in many households, as their portfolio includes top brands such as HP and Nokia.

Zeydon Yachts approached BMW Designworks to provide a fresh approach to their yacht, with the naval architecture completed by Peter Boscoff, well known for the beautiful Saffier range of daysailors.

She was built in Belgium, in a custom facility, using vacuum infused multiaxial E-glass and epoxy resin, with the addition of carbon reinforcement around the high load areas, a relatively new technology of building at the time. This gives the ultimate strength to weight ratio for the yacht and the performance that she delivers.

Zeydon Z60 REGULUS has been through a large refit in 2020 and 2021. She is fresh on the market and gives the opportunity for the next owner to have many maintenance free years of enjoyment. New sails, saloon cushions, batteries and repainted hull are just a few of the main upgrades that she has had.

She has a very high specification, with carbon mast and boom, rod rigging and beautiful and fresh carbon sails which last and increase righting moment – so less pitch and roll at anchor, and you reef later.

A true sailor’s yacht.
