The Hallberg-Rassy 40 is a solid and dependable yacht, well-suited for sailing in all waters. This model has received multiple accolades, including European Yacht of the Year, Cruising World’s Boat of the Year, and Sail Magazine’s Top Ten, confirming its reputation as a highly regarded vessel. Built at the Hallberg-Rassy yard on the western part of the island of Orust, a total of 162 hulls were produced between 2002 and 2018. The Mk I was in production from 2002 to 2015, followed by the Mk II from 2016 to 2018. Both versions were designed by the renowned naval architect Germán Frers.
The centre cockpit features Hallberg-Rassy’s signature fixed windscreen, offering excellent protection from wind and rain while maintaining clear visibility. The teak-decked surface adds both elegance and grip, while the cockpit itself is designed with high backrests and a smart, ergonomic layout—ensuring safety and comfort at sea.
One notable feature of the Hallberg-Rassy 40 is its exceptionally spacious engine room—an uncommon luxury for a yacht of this size. It offers easy access to all systems and ample space for additional equipment if required. The yacht is powered by a reliable 54hp Yanmar engine.
Below deck, the Hallberg-Rassy 40 is finished with beautiful, varnished mahogany wood. The layout of Hallberg-Rassy 40 MICHAELA includes a saloon with an L-shaped sofa, a table with foldable sides and two comfortable chairs. The aft cabin has two comfortable beds and great storage. In the bow, there is a V-berth with more storage. The galley, head and navigation areas are conveniently located at the entrance stair.
Both the mainsail and the genoa are maneuvered by push buttons, which makes it easy to handle the sails.
Hallberg-Rassy 40, MICHAELA, has been sailed in Scandinavian waters by her current (second) owner. She has been professionally maintained and stored indoors during the winter months. In recent years, the owner has commissioned numerous upgrades, all carried out by the Hallberg-Rassy yard.
If you are searching for a well-kept Hallberg-Rassy 40 this one is well worth a visit!
