The Najad 460 is a beautifully crafted yacht, built by the renowned Najad yard in Sweden and designed by Judel/Vrolijk & Co. This exclusive and solid vessel is perfect for ocean sailing, yet easy to handle for coastal cruising as well. The center cockpit is equipped with a sturdy fixed windscreen and a sprayhood, providing excellent protection from cold, windy, and rainy weather. All sail handling can be done from this central location. The wide side decks and numerous solid grab rails ensure that the crew can move around the deck with ease and confidence. The teak deck not only adds to the yacht’s aesthetic appeal but also provides excellent non-slip functionality and additional insulation.

This Najad 460 was imported by Najad into the U.S. when the brand first entered the American market. It was the first Najad sold by us—at the 2002 Annapolis Boat Show—to its current owner.

She has been based in Oxford, MD, and has cruised mostly in the Chesapeake, with a couple of trips to New England. Every winter, she has been stored ashore under a fitted canvas cover.

She is very nicely equipped and updated, with a brand-new Northern Lights generator, a new 12mm glued-down teak deck (installed in 2011), new electronics, and an engine with only 469 hours!

The layout features two cabins forward (a V-berth and bunk beds), a spacious saloon, a U-shaped galley, a chart table, and plenty of storage in the passageway leading to the centerline double-berth owner’s cabin aft. There are two heads with vanity sinks and showers—one forward and one aft.
