This 2007-built Aquastar 48S is still in her first ownership, and my goodness it shows.
She is the full English. With everything from initial build photos through to her present-day, first-class appearance, this is a little ship to instil confidence and faith in her huge capabilities. Commissioned and built in 2007 for an experienced yachting couple, she stands as a testament to the build quality of these fast, semi-displacement flybridge cruisers. Her interior uses select high-gloss Maple joinery throughout, flooding her cabins with a warm light, and is in exceptionally fine shape – feeling just a wee bit different to her sisters.
There are subtle differences: a beautifully executed coffee table in her saloon, smart internal trim to her landscape saloon windows, but the original (and superb) layout remains 100% successful. The full-beam master aft cabin is a welcoming oasis of calm, accessed via a private companionway from the light and comfortable saloon. The fully equipped galley leads forward, with a cosy dinette to starboard (which will make up into a good-sized double if required), and a forward cabin with adjacent heads/shower. She rides on a proven blue-boat hull, with a long, shallow keel derived from Aquastar’s commercial heritage and expertise in crafting exceptional sea-going vessels. This bloodline ensures that she will head happily through conditions that would make many turn tail, and her versatile accommodation in concert with this excellent seakeeping capacity makes her ideal for longer periods of exploring and spending significant time on the water – whether in the Mediterranean, the Baltic, or her native UK cruising grounds.
Spec. highlights include Eberspacher diesel heating, Cruisair air-conditioning, Wesmar fin stabilisation, a generator and an updated Raymarine navigation suite. Her twin D9 500hp Volvos have a complete service history, and show sensible running hours. The 48S is a remarkably versatile package, offering six comfortable berths, impressive speed when required, stabilisation, and a highly adaptable deck layout. With a secure flybridge (with grill, sink and fridge), protected aft deck seating, davits and a bathing platform designed for effortless launch and recovery of her tender – this is one seriously useable machine.
Your earliest chance to view is strongly recommended since quality motor-yachts of this calibre are rare and highly sought-after. Having seen her both out of the water being prepared for the 2026 season, and having also stepped on board after re-launch, we are happy to confirm that she is a true credit to her Owners, and her next Keepers will be very hard-pushed to find a better yacht to step up to.
Name to be retained by vendor.
‘She is a home from home on the water, ideal for extended live on-board cruising but also a great social boat which our family and friends continue to enjoy. A real sea keeping little ship that turns heads wherever we go with her classic lines and she has been meticulously looked after by a fantastic team at Port Solent. Reluctantly as we get older our plan is to downsize and she will be greatly missed, but it is time to pass her on to new owners to enjoy.’
