Solaris Yachts are an established builder of well-designed and beautifully crafted performance cruising yachts. The yard has occupied the site in Aquileia since 1974. They are unashamedly a sailor’s yacht and statement piece in one. Aboard all Solaris yachts you will find cutting edge design above decks and Italian style in abundance below.
The Italian flair and good looks come as standard but the beauty is more than just skin deep. Solaris have always prided themselves in building strong and seaworthy yachts. The main bulkheads are in composite and as provided by the exclusive Solaris building technique, they are resin bonded to hull and above all to deck and not only glued with silicone. The entire boat is built in composite sandwich, the internal frames both transverse and longitudinal are vacuum infused and no structural liners are adopted.
This spring will see Solaris Yachts launch the new Solaris 60 designed by Javier Soto Acebal, working in conjunction the studio Roseo for the interior design. The Solaris 60 has been optimised to deliver race boat performance whilst maintaining the level of comfort aboard one associates with Solaris yachts. Full width cockpit, self-tacking jib coupled with a well-balanced sail plan and greater stability offered by the broad aft sections and twin rudders are just some of the extra details that make the Solaris 60 stand out. Notable features include:
• Twin wheels set outboard
• Twin Rudders
• The Solaris twin winch system all lines lead aft for easy management by and small crew/couple
• Self-tacking headsail
• Tender garage
• 3 en-suite cabins
• Crew cabin
