Berthon are delighted to announce their appointment as central agents for the sale of FPB 78#3 IRON LADY II.
She is currently available for inspection in Beaufort, North Carolina – USA. A full specification is available here – [OFF MARKET].
Built by Circa Marine in 2015 (commissioned 2017), IRON LADY II is the last of the FPB 78s to be delivered, joining Steve and Linda Dashew’s COCHISE and GREY WOLF II. Built for a most experienced yachting family, she was their second FPB and her new owner will benefit from input from these owners after their many years of bluewater experience as well as updates and improvements to the final yacht as a result of the evolution of the build of the FPB 78 and the lessons learnt from the earlier yachts.
The FPB series is unique and there is nothing else on the water today that is comparable in terms of comfort, sea keeping and endurance for serious bluewater cruising.
IRON LADY II has been meticulously maintained and will be delivered to her new owner in full cruising trim.
In this ownership she has cruised extensively in the Pacific, before joining her hull sister GREY WOLF II for a cruise to Chile and then onward to Antarctica. An article about this voyage was published in Motorboat & Yachting and you can find this here:
Offering a reliable cruising range of 6,100 nautical miles, allowing for a safety margin, like her sisters she gives the ability to surf, total steering control and robust ice class construction. With this goes recovery from capsize and built in redundancy of all systems together with carefully designed and full access to all systems as required both during service periods and when required when at sea.
With the signature Great Room (Main Saloon) offering 360 degree vision, and large matrix deck for navigation and relaxing, she also has a spacious aft deck with external galley. Below there is a large owner’s stateroom and 2 spacious guest cabins, together with a large engine room and crew cabin/lazarette aft.
