History of Oyster 72, LATOBE
Originally called INFINITI OF COWES, she cruised in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. Shipped to the UK to be sold she was purchased by her current owners in 2020 as a replacement for their Gunfleet 58’ as they wanted more space for crew and guests. They had decided to participate in the Oyster Round the World Rally.
LATOBE started her refit in the UK including all new seacocks, full review of the underwater, fitting of C-Zone and new electronics and AV.
Once in Palma, the refit continued, of systems and many upgrades to make her ready to sail around the world.

Oyster World Rally
LATOBE had a glorious trip around the world, delivering fast passage times and offering total reliability whilst being fully maintained by her crew. A pit stop in South Africa allowed for a deep service of her systems, ceramic treatment to her gelcoat and a new genoa.
She then completed the world circuit arriving in the Caribs before heading for the Mediterranean.
