Not only does she have a cabriolet cockpit, which would shame many 42’ sisters, but the light, space and practicality of her layout is quite superb.
Her saloon is lit (when called for – there is a blind) by an overhead skylight, and ventilated by opening hull ports so that you decide how hot, cool/light or dark you want to be.
The forward floorplan is simple and effective – with a great centreline double berth flanked by one side by a separate heads, and on the other by a symmetrical shower compartment.
Her fully-fitted galley is linear – to give maximum storage, worktop area, and light, with the comfortable main lower seating/eating opposite.
The aft cabin has three berths, with the option to from a large crossways double, or three singles. Again, there is plenty of light, storage and ventilation here, and all cabins have heater vents for those colder winter months.
Up on deck, the main helm has two forward-facing seats to starboard, and a sofa to port.
The dash console is clear, with all controls falling easily to hand, and the two vast screens give excellent views forward with glazed side screens (with removable canvas inserts) for great visibility.
As you would expect there is plenty of storage volume in the cockpit, and the engine bay is super-smart – white, fully-lined and there is fantastic access to the twin D4-300 diesels for 34-odd knots. The engines and drives were serviced only a couple of months ago, and the engine space is clinically clean.
So the only real decision is roof open – or roof closed!
