ARETI is a beautifully maintained 2014 Beneteau Sense 50 that delivers effortless sailing, expansive living spaces, ease of handling, modern design, and a seamless flow from the cockpit to saloon. Designed by Berret Racoupeau with interiors by Nauta Design, ARETI offers a blend of sailing performance and elegant onboard accommodation.
From the moment you step aboard, you will be amazed by ARETI’s expansive and inviting cockpit, which is perfect for entertaining with seating for up to 10 people around two cockpit tables. Depending on your mood or occasion, the beautifully varnished cockpit table can be easily converted to a dining table, cocktail table, or lowered to create a sun lounger. The custom-built accordion style hardtop bimini can be instantly opened or closed depending on the weather, and the new dodger has a full-width removeable window and side panels. When the weather turns for the worse, the 3-sided cockpit enclosure will keep you warm and dry. Twin helms aft provide excellent visibility and access to sail controls, which are led aft for easy handling.
Three shallow steps from the cockpit to saloon welcomes you to a light-filled, contemporary interior highlighted by large hull windows, overhead hatches, leather upholstery, Alpi joinery, tasteful wall fabrics, and recessed lighting, more akin to a superyacht than a cruising sailboat.
The open-plan saloon with panoramic windows has an apartment like feel, with a longitudinal galley to starboard and U-shaped settee and aft facing nav station to port. The custom-built dinette with leather inlay easily converts to a large dining table or more compact cocktail table, and it can be quickly lowered to create a double bunk for those extra guests.
The large galley to starboard is perfect for preparing meals while underway or in port and is connected to the rest of the saloon and cockpit. Going forward, there is a double guest cabin to port, with private access to the guest bathroom, and a guest cabin with two bunk beds to starboard. The spacious and well-appointed owner’s suite features a queen-sized island bed, dressing area, hanging lockers, and ensuite head and shower.
Under sail, the Sense 50 delivers a stable and comfortable ride. Her wide beam, chinned hull, and twin rudders help reduce heel and improve handling, making her equally suited for coastal cruising or extended offshore passages.
ARETI has been consistently maintained and thoughtfully upgraded by her two owners from new. She has been professionally maintained by a captain, and all systems have been regularly serviced and upgraded.
With only 1,360 hours on the Yanmar 75HP diesel and 740 hours on the Onan generator, ARETI represents an outstanding value in today’s market. If you’re looking to step into a capable, stylish, and easy-to-manage 50-foot cruiser, look no further!!
We are the second owners of Areti and have cherished and enjoyed her for six seasons. Her design is impeccable, both contemporary and, at the same time, extremely comfortable. I am an architect and appreciate the artistry that the designers have integrated into her every line and cubic inch. One of the great unsung aspects of the Sense Series is that all the machinery and hull slap are far away from the state rooms, so the boat interior is truly quiet. And there is the secret captain’s berth in the cockpit my grandkids adore!
She is immaculately kept and has always been maintained by a professional boat captain. He has added several thoughtful touches that have added to her robustness and ease of use, such as a single lightweight power cord serving both the house and climate control. Her interior is very close to new, with few defects in the original pear wood veneer. My son, an expert cabinet maker, has recently modified the saloon table to flip and swivel for extra room when needed and with a leather insert that matches the other leather in the boat.
The retractable stern thruster with integrated bow thruster and hand-held remote makes single-handed docking a dream. Last year we added a Gennaker, making downwind sailing far more practical and reducing the use of the engine. We can’t imagine what it would be like not to have our retractable hardtop Bimini, which we use constantly, along with the convertible outdoor queen-size bed in the cockpit where we will sleep under the stars or harbor lights. We hope the next owner will treasure her as we have.
