Broker’s Comments

The HH42 is a very competitive and well loved design that shines inshore and offshore, thanks to her high quality pre preg carbon construction, and high form stability that gives her brilliant perfoamnce on reaching legs especially. A full bow keeps the speed up in large seas without sacrificing speed in the light. To add to the high spec, a high modulus carbon rig is stepped with Nitronic rod rigging, which could be upgraded to carbon if you so wished, but may negatively affect rating.

Not may of these were built, five I think, and they are rare on the brokerage market.

SCAMP 3 has been very well maintained, she is looked after during the winters in a warehouse out of the elements and then ashore between races in the summer.

She keeps the rather admittedly basic interior, but has an enclosed heads compartment, proper chart table, and even a forward double berth and galley area – all built in carbon so very lightweight.

SCAMP 3 is ready for both inshore or offshore, with full inventory and ready for the season in the Baltic.

Excellent and fast yacht for both offshore and up-and-down racing. Incredibly fast downwind, very competitive upwind in both ORC and IRC, which is confirmed by the results.
