Moody Decksaloon 41, PARASOL was delivered to her current first owner in 2023. She is a fully specified yacht in next to new condition. For sailors considering a yacht for long-term cruising, seasonal traveling or even as a floating home, the Moody DS41 is a stand out option. Designed by renowned yacht designer Bill Dixon, it takes the ‘one level living’ deck saloon concept a step further, offering exceptional comfort both at sea and at anchor.
The hardtop extends aft to just before the twin helm stations, with a sliding central canvas section that allows you to enjoy either full sun or complete protection. In addition to the well protected cockpit, there is a cozy forward seating area and a folding swim platform at the stern, perfect for enjoying time at anchor.
Sail handling is easy and efficient with a furling mast, self-tacking jib, and furling Code 0, all operated from electric winches conveniently placed just in front of the helm stations.
One of the most striking features of the Moody DS41 is the flush, step-free transition between cockpit and saloon. Thanks to the large sliding glass door, you simply walk straight inside with step-free access – a rare feature on a yacht of this size.
The saloon features the galley, seating area, and navigation station, all bathed in natural light from the large panoramic windows. At the galley, a floor hatch leads to a spacious utility and storage area with a washing machine and ample storage. Moving forward, you will find a guest cabin to starboard, a guest head with shower to port, and at the bow, the owner’s cabin with a large double berth, generous storage, and en suite head and shower.
Several large storage spaces, both below deck and on deck, make the boat well suited for extended time aboard.
We are experienced long distance cruisers who chose this yacht for her excellent sailing performance and the comfort of true one level living. The elevated saloon and galley offer outstanding panoramic views, while the deep coamings and solid railings provide exceptional safety when moving around the deck at sea.
To enhance sailing performance, we upgraded to the Quantum performance sail package, including fully battened mainsail and a furling Code 0. In poor weather, we can operate the boat entirely from inside, a feature we have greatly appreciated. Storage space is generous throughout, with room for bikes, cruising gear, and all the toys we like to bring along.
