MOTOTI is a classic 1991 Nautor Swan 46, designed by the renowned German Frers and built to the exceptional standards for which Swan yachts are known. While she is currently offered as a project yacht and requires some investment to return her to full cruising condition, she represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly respected Swan 46.

Her teak decks have reached the end of their service life and the absence of a mainsail and genoa, both of which will require replacement.

Despite these requirements, MOTOTI benefits from a considerable amount of recent investment. Highlights include replacement rod rigging in 2023/24, a substantial engine overhaul completed in 2024, serviced Navtec hydraulic systems in 2025, upgraded B&G navigation electronics, a Watt & Sea hydrogenerator, Firefly battery bank and refurbished anchor system.

Below decks, the Swan quality remains evident with her attractive teak joinery, spacious three-cabin layout including owners cabin aft. Owner’s Comments

Purchased in St. Lucia in 2022, MOTOTI (ex STARLIGHT) has enjoyed extensive cruising throughout the Caribbean under my ownership. We explored the Eastern Caribbean before continuing south through the ABC Islands and on to Colombia.

During a planned lay up in Colombia, we replaced the standing rigging. Following this work we had a baby! We continued to cruise Panama with baby in tow. In early 2026 I sailed her from Colón to Florida via the Cayman Islands and then on to a ship in June 2026 back to Southampton.

The rig has since been professionally inspected and tuned prior to shipping by Multitech Marine in Fort Lauderdale, with any work needed actioned.

Throughout my ownership, she has proven herself to be a capable and reliable offshore cruising yacht. Like all well-built Swans of her era, she remains remarkably solid, inspires confidence at sea, and continues to deliver excellent sailing performance, particularly when sailing to windward with my young family on board.

She has taken us safely on memorable voyages across the Caribbean and Central America and has been a rewarding yacht to own and cruise aboard.
