Broker’s Comments

This SUPERMARINE SWORDFISH 36 GRAND TOURER can only be described as an absolute stunner. She glistens in the sun and is a true head-turner wherever she goes – and she does it in style. Descended from the famous Fairey stable, and its offshore racing pedigree, the Swordfish is a fast, sea-sure cruiser with an impeccable bloodline.

We have known FLAMBOYANT from the egg, and her present highly knowledgeable owner has attended to her needs diligently, with a major engine-out refit 2018. She has new paint, and her running gear has been checked and upgraded/renewed as required, whilst keeping her keeping with that softly streamlined hull and curvy superstructure. Her refit was undertaken under the supervision of a noted Marine Surveyor.

The shopping list also included new fire suppression kit, a full new navigation aids suite, new cover set, Coppercoat antifouling, re-worked bilge pumping, removal and cleaning of tanks, new batteries, new throttle cables, and proportional bow & stern thrusters. All work is available and supported by invoicing, so there is a clear trail of exactly what has been done, and she has been stored under cover for the majority of the work. Her clean, modern interior offers sheer luxury for owner and guests alike and her powerful Yanmar diesels give her excellent performance. However, as with all Alan Burnard designs it is this vessel’s ability to deal with heavy seas that really sets her apart giving her occupants a comfortable ride in the most demanding of circumstances.

Designer’s Comments:

“I wanted to create an Aston Martin of the sea.”

“I wanted a boat that was powerful, fast, of extremely high quality, capable of handling some proper weather, and wrapped up in a drop-dead gorgeous package. A modern Swordsman and a true motorboat”.
