ALICAT is a well-equipped example of the popular World Cat 260 DC-X. She features twin Yamaha 200 hp outboards with optional joystick control for easy docking and dynamic positioning while fishing. With low hours, she shows like new. She also includes a custom tandem-axle trailer, a US$10,000 option.

The spacious deck is easy to traverse and features a U-shaped seating area with a high-low table forward. Built-in backrests at the aft end convert this area into twin sun loungers. Walking aft through the opening center windshield section brings you to the protected main cockpit, which offers forward-facing seats to port and starboard, the helm to starboard, and an enclosed marine head to port—unused since new.

The cockpit is protected by a wraparound windscreen and a solidly built rigid hardtop with rod holders at the rear. There are multiple storage lockers, a live well, and a clever swing-out cooler that provides additional seating or a step when in use, and stows beneath the helm seat when not. The port helm-seat backrest swings fore and aft to allow for forward- or aft-facing seating. At the transom, a fold-down backrest creates either a bench seat or an open walkway to the sturdy aluminum tubular swim ladder.

She is stored under shrink-wrap during the winter months, on her trailer at the owner’s property, and remains in pristine condition.

Owner’s Comments

We love the build quality and the abundant design details, such as the ample storage, enclosed head, walk-through access to the bow, reversible seat backs, fold-down transom backrest, and the swing-out cooler. The catamaran hull is fast and stable. After two seasons of great fun, I’ve found that I’m not as mobile as I once was – hence the reason for the sale.
