Broker’s Comments

SWIFT presents a rare opportunity to acquire a high-performance Carbon-Kevlar XSR 48 Powerboat that has been extensively optimised for patrol, military, and commercial use.

Equipped with twin FPT 570HP marine diesel engines on ZF Trimax surface drives, she underwent a major refit in 2023 to prepare her for her new role — a role in which she has since excelled.

The refit included new navigational equipment, a custom closed hardtop enclosure, a custom dash console (with the mould still available for future operators), custom-built windows, an aft cockpit cage, reconfigured interior seating, and general reinforcement of components to ensure maximum reliability and long-term operational capability.

Manufacturer’s Comments

The XSR 48 is “The World’s Fastest Diesel Superboat,” but it’s also a lot more. The developers say the boat “combines the DNA and high performance of a supercar with superyacht styling, making it the Bugatti Veyron of the sea.”

That bold statement is backed up by 1,040 hp from dual FPT 570 turbo diesel engines mounted inside a futuristic carbon Kevlar hull.

To ensure the XSR 48 would be much more than just a speedboat, XSMG founders Ian Sanderson and Peter Dredge (who have together broken 11 world records) built the boat in collaboration with world-class construction and design partners. The hull and hydrodynamics were created by legendary designer and high-speed patrol boat builder Fabio Buzzi. Its high-tech composite materials were supplied by High Modulus, and award-winning luxury superyacht designers Redman Whiteley Dixon were among the many companies involved in bringing this superboat project to life.

The XSR 48 was built in Lymington, England, and was initially launched in December 2006.
