Broker’s Comments

ACADIA is a meticulously maintained 2002 Pacific Seacraft 40, designed by the renowned W.I.B. Crealock and built to the highest standards by Pacific Seacraft in the USA. Recognised for its robust construction, sea kindly performance, and classic lines, ACADIA is the perfect choice for sailors seeking a safe and comfortable offshore cruiser that inspires confidence in all conditions. Over the years, ACADIA has been significantly updated with major upgrades, including all-new B&G electronics and autopilot, AIS (transmit and receive), full bimini with side curtains, new 120% jib, and solar panels mounted on a custom-built arch.

The hand-laid laminated biaxial fiberglass hull and deck, through-bolted deck-to-hull joint, backing plates on all hardware, solid lead cast keel, and skeg-hung rudder ensure ACADIA can withstand the toughest conditions.

Down below, the well-appointed interior features a spacious saloon with a teak drop-leaf table that lowers to create a double berth, a dedicated navigation station with electronics, a U-shaped galley designed for offshore use, two guest staterooms, and an aft head that is easily accessible from both the companionway and cockpit.

On deck, ACADIA features a strong aluminum cutter rig, Harken roller furlers for the genoa and staysail, a full set of cruising sails, solid vang, Dutchman Boom Brake, insulated backstay, and numerous Spinlock rope clutches.

Underway or at anchor, ACADIA is self-sufficient with solar panels, an Ampair wind generator, and a 210-amp Balmar alternator with smart regulator.

ACADIA is ready for any adventure that lies ahead. Schedule a viewing today!

Owner’s Comments

I am the second owner of ACADIA, having purchased her in 2018. What initially drew me to the Pacific Seacraft 40 — and to ACADIA in particular — was her reputation as one of the finest bluewater cruising yachts of her size. Her strong build, elegant lines, and thoughtful design make her both a joy to sail and a safe, reliable vessel for extended cruising.

Since purchasing ACADIA, I have primarily sailed her along the East Coast of the United States, with regular passages between New England and Florida. Each autumn, I sailed her offshore — often single-handed — from Rhode Island to Florida, taking advantage of the Gulf Stream when conditions allowed. The experience of handling ACADIA offshore has been incredibly rewarding; she is stable, predictable, and inspires great confidence in all conditions.

In summer, I cruised extensively along the coast of Maine, exploring its beautiful anchorages and islands. ACADIA is equally well suited to coastal cruising — comfortable at anchor and in harbor, with a warm, inviting interior that makes life aboard very pleasant.

Over the years, I have invested significantly in her maintenance and upgrades, with major improvements to electronics and canvas. These enhancements were made with the aim of keeping her in top cruising condition and ensuring both reliability and comfort at sea.

Now, after many seasons of adventure, it is time for new projects and changes. ACADIA has been a wonderful yacht — and I look forward to passing her on to new owners who will continue to enjoy her for many years to come.
