Berthon Spain sold WINDFALL OF PLYMOUTH from Palma to her current owner in 2007.

Under current ownership she has been based in Italy and used for family Med sailing holidays.

2015 – 2022 she was based at Marina Sant´Andrea near Trieste and skipper maintained – also with works undertaken at the shipyard (which was an official Swan service point) during the same period.

WINDFALL is a stunning Nautor Swan 61 that combines classic elegance with modern performance and comfort.

She has been continually maintained and upgraded by her owner, making her a vessel of unparalleled distinction.

The refit highlights are posted at the end of this specification but do note she had new rod rigging and a new teak deck in 2021.

I have known WINDFALL since her first ownership. With her original owner, she sailed from Finland to the Caribbean, the USA, and back to the Mediterranean. She was even featured in the Nautor Swan 61 brochure.

In 1994, while in Palma, the yacht was sold to her second owner. He sailed with his wife and young family on a global voyage. Upon returning, WINDFALL underwent a mini refit. Reluctant to part with her, the owner leased her to a British sailor whose son had sailed with them in 1999 for three months—an unusual but successful arrangement.

WINDFALL then embarked on another circumnavigation as part of the 2001–2003 Blue Water Rally and is featured in the book “Swan the World: A Father and Son Experience.” After returning to Palma, I sold her in the autumn of 2003 to new British owners.

They took her to the UK for a refit, which included painting her white, before setting off in 2004 on new adventures in the Mediterranean and Caribbean. In early 2006, she was stored ashore for six months, followed by local sailing, until she was sold by me again in the summer of 2007 to her current owner.

The current owner had her delivered to Finland for a refit by the renowned Swan experts at Yxpila Boat Yard, including a transformation to a stunning dark blue hull, before returning to the Mediterranean. Since then, WINDFALL has remained in the Mediterranean, been cherished, professionally maintained, and fully refitted in recent years, as detailed in this specification.

WINDFALL offers generous spaces and a luxurious interior, with a large owner’s cabin, two guest cabins, a crew cabin, a galley, a navigation station, and a main saloon. She has a full inventory of North Sails, Raymarine multifunction system with plotters, and VHF.

WINDFALL really is a blue water sailing yacht that has it all.

Owner’s Comments

I have never raced WINDFALL in my ownership, only cruised in the Mediterranean.

I chose her against all other options. I had decided I wanted a Nautor Swan for their quality, and this yacht, with her central cockpit and interior layout, was ideally suited for our family with 4 children.

She is very safe and comfortable – the cockpit particularly, most important when the children were younger. The sun deck aft was also often appreciated and also without danger.

WINDFALL is as all Swans a beautiful and elegant vessel that sails exceptionally well.

I am now selling as the children became adults and family holidays change – it is time for the yacht to have new adventures.
