Broker’s Comments

It’s no secret that we are big fans of Discoveries here at Berthon International. They have more than proved themselves to be capable, comfortable and easily managed bluewater yachts. The deck layout and sail handling mean the white sail plan can be managed from the safety of the cockpit, ideal for short-handed sailing. The raised saloon and forward-facing navigation seat are two further features that appeal. These yachts have achieved almost cult status among family cruisers.

CASAMARA is a particularly good example, and we know her well, having handled her sale to her current owner. Since then, she has circumnavigated the globe and returned to us in superb condition. Throughout her travels, her owner kept up with daily maintenance and a programme of upgrades and replacements. She boasts fresh standing rigging, a new sail wardrobe and a host of other updates and refinements.

CASAMARA is presented in superb order and ready for her next custodian and adventurer.

Owner’s Comments

We have owned CASAMARA for 10 years. We spent 5 years getting her ready for our circumnavigation. She has then been our home for the last 5 years and has been the safest and most comfortable yacht we could wish for. We sailed much of the world with just two of us on board. She proved to be surprisingly fast, and we frequently arrived towards the front of the fleet! We encountered some challenging conditions during our time on board and CASAMARA always felt sure footed, safe and secure. She never let us down. Once at anchor, she was great for entertaining and able to accommodate many guests. We have been meticulous in maintaining her and she comes complete with an extensive spares inventory suitable for a circumnavigation.
