Broker’s Comments

Sirena Yachts has built a formidable reputation over more than two decades, delivering over 400 yachts from its 155,000m² Turkish shipyard while also producing yachts for some of the industry’s most respected brands, including the Azimut-Benetti Group. Today, Sirena is recognised as one of Turkeys leading premium yacht builders, combining exceptional build quality with innovative semi-displacement designs that have earned widespread acclaim from owners and the international yachting press alike. The yard’s ambition continues to grow, with Sirena Superyachts confirming the sale of its new 42-metre flagship ahead of her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show a clear demonstration of the engineering capability, craftsmanship and confidence that underpin every yacht the company builds, from the Sirena 48 through to its flagship models.

Sirena 48 Flybridge, hull 24, CARIAD is an outstanding example of what that capability delivers. Commissioned as Sirena’s showcase yacht for the 2025 Düsseldorf Boat Show, she was specified to an exceptional standard, incorporating a host of factory upgrades and premium options that set her apart from a standard production model. Her semi-displacement hull offers remarkable versatility, delivering efficient long-range cruising together with confident higher-speed performance, all while providing luxurious accommodation for up to six guests.

Twin Cummins engines, uprated from the standard 480hp to 550hp specification, are paired with the Humphree Interceptor trim system in place of conventional trim tabs, providing a flatter, more composed ride and exceptional comfort underway. A 17.5kW generator, four visor-mounted solar panels integrated into a Victron energy management system, a 3,000W inverter and a 160L/h watermaker significantly extend her autonomy away from the dock, while both bow and stern thrusters make close-quarters manoeuvring effortless, whether owner-operated or under crew.

The quality of construction, joinery and interior finish is immediately apparent throughout. A carbon fibre hardtop, bespoke open cockpit with glass transom panels and a full teak-laid hydraulic bathing platform create an elegant, contemporary profile, while Mediterranean-specification air conditioning, a beautifully crafted natural oiled wood galley, upgraded flooring and premium carpeting provide a level of refinement more commonly associated with considerably larger yachts.

CARIAD has had one owner from new an experienced, serial yacht owner who worked closely with Sirena throughout her commissioning and warranty period to ensure every detail met his exacting standards. That process has now been completed, with all warranty items resolved and her scheduled maintenance carried out in April 2026. She presents today in genuine turnkey condition, requiring nothing before immediate cruising.

She is offered for sale solely due to an unforeseen change in her owner’s personal circumstances and not as a reflection of the yacht, which has proved an exceptional cruising platform throughout his ownership. For her next owner, this represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly specified Sirena 48 built, being sold with all kit on board and William’s 285 Jet tender. CARIAD is being sold ex taxes and the potential to take on an annual berth in Crete, at a substantial saving compared with commissioning an equivalent new yacht today.

Owner’s Comments

After many years cruising the UK coastline and throughout the Mediterranean in around twenty new yachts (most recently trawler yachts, including several Grand Banks models) it was time to choose one final motor yacht.

Our sailing experience, combined with my many years in the marine industry, gave us a very clear idea of exactly what we wanted.

The yacht needed to offer maximum accommodation within a 16-metre length, allowing us to access smaller ports, marinas and secluded anchorages. A spacious full-beam owner’s cabin and comfortable guest accommodation were essential, while the saloon and galley needed to flow seamlessly, providing easy access throughout the boat when underway.

We wanted a hull that would be safe and forgiving in heavy seas, yet efficient and economical for long-distance cruising. Excellent access to all machinery was a must, and the build quality had to be a significant step above many of the volume-production brands. Just as importantly, we wanted the flexibility to specify the yacht to suit our exact requirements.

Then along came our beautiful new Sirena.

Our time with CARIAD may have been shorter than we had hoped, but it has been a wonderful cruising experience. She has fulfilled every expectation we had and has always looked after us impeccably.

It is with genuine regret that we now offer her for sale, but life moves on, and we hope her next owners will enjoy her every bit as much as we have.
