February 2022 – Our Yacht Market Report ’22, a Pregnancy Announcement and our continued support of Discovery & Southerly Yachts
February 21st, 2022
It’s time to start thinking about the 2022 yachting season. With travel slowly opening up across the planet, our 5 international offices are all looking forward to more activity this year. It has certainly been a busy month, and start to the year, as the world starts making plans again.
Take a short (and furry) preview of the 2022 Yacht Market Report (pictured above), due to be published very soon. The team have all been very busy reviewing the last year and looking to the next. Along with the usual forecast, news from our Flight Decks and a VAT update, the 2022 Yacht Market Report will cover yacht insurance, current supply chain issues and how COVID-19 has effected the yachting business, besides much else. Our Berthon UK canine friends (of which there are many) have also contributed to the report this year and much fun was had trying to get a team shot of them all.
The Berthon International team are expecting. It is with heavy hearts the gremlins who run our UK HQ’s website have had to mark sailing yacht broker extraordinaire Sophie Kemp as ‘On Maternity Leave’ – she leaves officially 25-02-2022! We will all miss her dearly. We’re sure you join us in wishing her, Papa Tristan and our future yacht broker in training well!
Teamwork from Berthon and JE Marine, Supporting Discovery & Southerly Yachts shows you we are the go-to people for these extraordinary benchmark bluewater cruising yachts. As specialist bluewater yacht brokers, we are truly passionate about Discovery and Southerly Yachts and it was a blow when the Discovery Shipyard LTD closed just before Christmas 2021. We will continue to support these brands and their owners going forward and invite you to learn a little more about our own expertise and our collaboration with JE Marine’s John Eustace.
JPK 1080, ROSSKO is a winner! She has an impressive collection of silverware and has benefited from much investment to keep her up to date and competitive. Now captured on film for you to enjoy…
84’ Troy Explorer MRS ROBINSON is for sale and has her own movie! A proper little ship, her Stephen Seaton lines are easy on the eye.
