The Windy 39 Camira was designed for those who do not want the faff and hassle of a typical cruiser, but want to enjoy the benefits of an aggressive 40’ deep-V hull design. This yacht is equally at home on trips around the bay, or more notable offshore adventures.
The Windy 39 Camira, XIANGHAI was commissioned by the Berthon Sales Group for an experienced client, who wished to upgrade from his Windy 35 Khamsin. She offers an expansive cockpit, two comfortable cabins, tender garage, ingenious canopy and quality bimini sunshade.

She was designed by Windy – in collaboration with renowned naval architect Ed Dubois and Design Unlimited, who were responsible for the impressive interior design.
In our view, the Windy 39 Camira is perhaps the best handling Windy boat ever made. A view echoed by Motor Boats and Yachting Magazine who quote –
“For pure ability it’s up there with the very best 40ft production hulls we’ve ever tested”
Windy 39 Camira, XIANGHAI is currently berthed in Portugal and benefits from a med. specification, which includes full air con, generator and substantial bimini sunshade. She is powered by the 2 x Volvo D6-400 diesel engines, which were the largest option available at the time of build.
The engines are complemented with Raymarine glass cockpit instrumentation, Joystick docking system and Humphree interceptors, which automatically control the trim, list and heel of the yacht in more aggressive turns. She was also upgraded with a Raymarine autopilot.
The two comfortable cabins on the Windy 39 Camira were designed by Design Unlimited and easily rival more traditional cruisers, in terms of usable space, storage and comfort. The cabins benefits from independent air handlers, with separate climate control.
The vast cockpit, offers plenty of space to relax at anchor with a large u-shaped sofa and notable sun pad. The large u-shaped sofa combines seamlessly with the large aft sun-pad, which incorporates a moveable backrest and electronic table adjustment.
The whole cockpit area is protected with a quality bimini sunshade or canopy, which can be used at speed and extended to cover the aft sun-pad. A particularly clever feature is that the canopy or bimini easily folds down into a dedicated canopy well and can be tightened electronically.
The hull was finished in white GRP, which has been wrapped in a dove blue metallic finish. The wrap could be removed, or replaced with a difference colour, depending on the new owner’s requirements and preference.
The tender garage has been designed for up to a 2.4m flat-bottomed tender, which is normally matched with an electric outboard.
The Windy 39 Camira, XIANGHAI was also EU VAT paid in Portugal.
We would also be delighted to assist with quotations for shipment and or delivery of the boat to your chosen yachting location. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you would like more information.
