EUPRAXIA is a fine example of the tried-and-tested, shorthand-capable bluewater cruising yacht that is the Discovery 55. With her wonderfully versatile accommodation and owner’s king-size double cabin aft, she is exceptionally well equipped for whatever her new owner desires.
Her raised deck saloon offers guests superb panoramic views across any anchorage, while the thoughtfully positioned navigation station provides excellent visibility and quick access to the cockpit when underway.

Since buying EUPRAXIA, we have “done” the entire Mediterranean, Brittany, English Channel, and the Caribbean. With two small children and a dog, we always knew that we would appreciate the Discovery 55’s safety and comfort, but what came as a pleasant surprise was the balance and lively performance under sail. She really is easy to manage short-handed, and, on extended passages, 200-mile days are regularly achieved. We are selling now because our individual schedules no longer allow the time to sail together, but with so many happy memories to cherish, we do so with no regrets.
The Discovery 55 has been extensively reviewed. Bluewater Sailing calls her ‘an innovative and eminently comfortable voyaging home,’ whilst Boat International said, ‘the Discovery 55 is a beautiful boat, soundly constructed out of the best materials and designed to look after her crew, whatever nature throws up. But none of this is at the expense of performance, which is in the top league of today’s modern cruiser-racers.’
