The Farr 40 is a One Design boat designed by Bruce Farr and built by US Watercraft. The philosophy behind the build was to offer a fast, easy to handle and affordable boat in offshore class. There are strict rules for this One Design class, where you usually have to sail regattas against others in different handicap systems, such as ORCi and SRS. To be a single-hull boat, she offers incredible speed resources and she is guaranteed to be one of the first yachts across the finish line. Even if the handicap systems change, this Grand Prix boat will always be high up on the results list. Mast, spreaders and spinnaker boom have been made of carbon fiber, all to get maximum performance. The deck layout is simple and functional with most trim lines and sheets under the deck. The yacht requires its crew to be able to perform at top level and for longer offshore sailing there are sea berths, toilet, navigation table and a simple galley.

The boat carries her original name, WARPATH, and was a top-performing yacht in the Rolex Farr 40 World Championship for many years in the 2000s. Renowned sailor Paul Cayard assisted the team as a tactician on board during the regattas in 2005 and 2008.

The current owner has had the yacht for 4 seasons and he has really invested money and energy into improving and upgrading her. Most things on board have been thoroughly reviewed and a lot of new equipment has been acquired. UK Sails has crafted a new sail wardrobe with carbon fiber sails and new instruments from B&G have been installed. The yacht has been optimized for ORCi and SRS ratings and all safety equipment is on board for offshore regattas. The keel bolts have been X-rayed and the winches have been serviced. The yacht is in top condition and she is delivered race-ready. Owner’s Comments

I bought WARPATH in 2019 and have actively raced her with my crew. Unfortunately, in the 2021 season she was on dry land due to ill health. The yacht has been upgraded and most of the equipment on board has been replaced during my ownership. The boat is classified as racing equipment, and therefore, no CE marking is required. Over my years on the racing circuit, I’ve sailed many different boats, but few are as enjoyable as the Farr 40. The boat is exceptionally fast, and we have achieved high placements in the results list several times, including a 3rd place in Open Sea 2023 and a 2nd place at Almagrundet in the well-known Gotland Runt race. The boat performs best with a full crew, but she also sails well double-handed. A testament to this was a 2nd place in the double-handed class of the Sandhamn Open. WARPATH is a racing boat in mint condition and she is incredibly fast, offering a lot of sailing pleasure for the money. I dare to claim that she is one of the finest Farr 40 boats on the market.
