The Najad 373 was one of the first models designed by Najadvarvet’s Eric Segerlind, together with naval architect Judel Vrolijc & Co. The Najad 373 is a really beautiful classic yacht, with its relatively low free boards, built by the skilled craftsmen at the renowned Swedish yard, located on the island of Orust on the Swedish west coast.

The Najad 373 offers a v-shaped hull design giving smooth movements through the waves. The hull and deck is of sandwich construction, the rudder is mounted on a skeg and the lead keel is bolted to a deep bilge. Najad 373 is suitable both for sailing close to shore and for sailing on the open sea.

Directly at the entrance stair you will conveniently find the heads, navigation area and the longitudinal galley. The saloon has two sofas and a folding table. In the bow you will find the guest cabin with a v-berth. The owner’s cabin is located aft and offers a double berth, a seat and plenty of storage.

Najad 373, MALIA is a clean, well maintained yacht, which has been used, by her current owner and family since 2017. The light coloured upholstery match perfectly with the handmade mahogany interior and offers a warm, light and welcoming atmosphere.

The cockpit manoeuvred furling mast makes sail handling easy and efficient and the powerful Yanmar 54hp engine, together with the bow thruster makes manoeuvring safe and easy, even in windy conditions.

Owner’s Comments

The Najad 373 is a really great sailing yacht with lovely sleek lines. It tacks well with full sails (main and genoa) up to 10 m/s, yet remains easily driven in light wind. The yacht is very secure in rough seas. In the centre cockpit, one sits well protected behind the windshield and sprayhood in cold and windy weather. Both interior and exterior finishing is superb and the yacht is easy to sail with a small crew thanks to furling sails, both headsail and mainsail. We have used the boat as a ‘summer cottage’ and, at most, sailed from Gothenburg down to Malmö and then made our way back home via the Göta Canal. A journey of a total of 7 weeks.
